License
Settings → License shows the license of this Vision installation and activates it. A fresh install is locked until an administrator activates it here.
The page has two panels:
- License — the status badge, License ID, Name, Account, and Expires (or Expired).
- About — the Vision version, build time, and Go version.
Activate
Section titled “Activate”Needs permission to change settings.
- Click Activate.
- Open the link, sign in to your Cesbo profile, check that the hostname is this server’s, and choose the license.
- Leave the page open. It shows a countdown (the link lives 10 minutes) and updates by itself once Vision receives the license. Copy puts the link on the clipboard.
If the license has no free slot, pick the device to replace on the Cesbo page; it is removed when this one is activated. If the link expires or fails, click Start again. Removing a device, manual activation, and error codes are covered in Licensing.
Re-check now asks the license servers at once — use it after renewing the license or fixing the server’s clock.
When Vision is locked
Section titled “When Vision is locked”While the license is missing, expired, or removed:
- users with access to settings are sent to Settings → License;
- everyone else sees License required with Try again and Log out — ask an administrator to activate or renew.
Vision unlocks by itself within moments of a successful check.
License banner
Section titled “License banner”When Vision still runs but someone has to act, a banner appears above every page for users who can read settings, with an Open License link. It appears when:
- the license servers are unreachable — the banner says until when Vision keeps running (up to 30 days after the last successful check);
- the server’s clock is out of sync with the license servers;
- the license expires within 7 days.
